Disney animators take on the classic Grimm Brothers story of Rapunzel (Mandy Moore), a long-locked beauty imprisoned in a secluded tower by evil hag Mother Gothel (Donna Murphy), who needs the rejuvenating powers of Rapunzel’s tresses to remain young. When a bandit on the lam (Zachary Levi) helps Rapunzel escape, the old crone plots to recapture her and end her budding romance with the thief in this Golden Globe nominee for Best Animated Feature. (Netflix)

OH. MY. GOD. I adored this movie!!! Ok, normally I don’t geek out over Princess Disney movies (ok, I haven’t done it since I was about 10) but, this was the epitome of the classic Disney love story. Adorable couple, some magic, an evil mother like relative, animals with human like qualities, and original songs. What more could you ask for? The story was well written, and well-animated, with some truly hilarious moments. The two animals, Pascal, the chameleon that acts like a human, and Maximus, the horse that acts like a dog, although this sounds ridiculous, they are two of the highlights of the movie. Seriously great animation with those, two they were hilarious. Loved the original songs. I have a feeling “I See the Light” is going to be a classic love song for years to come. In all seriousness, I laughed, and cried, (about three times) and everything in-between. Makes me want to be a kid again 🙂

10/10 One of the best family movies I have ever seen
