Another entry in the “why haven’t you seen this yet?” category. And yeah, they were right haha. I thought this was a lot of fun. Tim Burton and Johnny Depp take the worst director of all time and make him so fun and lovable you can’t help but root for him. Bill Murray is hilarious as one of Wood’s friends, and Martin Landau is incredible. He completely deserved that Oscar. It was quickly paced, a little self aware, the writing was great, I really have no complaints. A question, rather. I just wonder why it was filmed in black and white. I initially thought that’s what his movies were in, but it was the 50s and 60s, so they would definitely be in color by then. It didn’t distract or anything, just curious. In the end, this is a must see for any movie lover.
