Kevin’s mother struggles to love her strange child, despite the increasingly vicious things he says and does as he grows up. But Kevin is just getting started, and his final act will be beyond anything anyone imagined. (IMDb)
So. This was some heavy shit. Like this is a lot. Don’t get me wrong, this was a good movie, but you just need to be in a certain emotional state for this. Tilda Swinton is completely on par in this one, as is Ezra Miller and John C. Reilly. The jumps back and forth in time take a bit to get used to, but they are effective. I will say that the whole red/blood imagery is a heavy-handed and overused. Like I was like “I get it. Red Leaves. Red Paint. Blood. Let’s move on.” But anyway, still a good movie that even though it’s a lot, is still worth a watch.
