This is how you do a black comedy. I was laughing my ass off pretty much the entire time. The writing is dry, witty, and wickedly funny. Also, the different couple dynamics are also a lot of fun and well written. The ensemble cast that includes Julia Stiles, America Ferrera and David Cross, just to name a few, work extremely well together. I especially loved Ferrera’s complete freak out that goes from being in shock to making homemade ecstasy in the kitchen. Another thing I liked was the movement from one room to another, but never really leaving that house. Yes, there were some parts that could have been a tad quicker and the ending caused an actual debate in my house, but I wouldn’t mind visiting this couples brunch from hell again.
