cosmopolisAs a Wall Street golden boy witnesses the fall of his empire, his paranoia rises with each clue to his imminent assassination. (Netflix)

The thing about this is that the premise is interesting. It was the writing I didn’t love. It sounds like Mamet. I actually checked and see if he wrote it. It’s cold, distant, and just let’s us only glimpse at what’s happening in this world without ever really understanding it. Which I have never really loved. Some of the green screen is glaringly bad. Robert Pattinson does lead an interesting cast of characters, but half the time you don’t really know what they’re talking about. You pick up some context clues along the way, and you figure some things out, but in the end, you just don’t care enough to ever be fully invested.

Nice review. I HATED this film so much I sort of worried it was irrational. But, no. I stand by my instinctive reaction!
