Paranoia forces small-time scam artist Marty to flee his hometown and hide out in a dangerous Detroit. With nothing but a pocket full of bogus checks, his Power Glove, and a bad temper, the horror metal slacker lashes out. (IMDb)
I’m all for indie low budget. What I’m not for is indie low budget with no plot. Well, there is a plot, it’s just minuscule and meandering. There’s also a lot of long takes that weren’t interesting. I’m sorry, I just don’t find watching somebody disgustingly eat a giant plate of spaghetti for four solid minutes entertaining. There are some humorous moments, and I commend Joshua Burge for just going for it, but I just didn’t find this enjoyable.
